Trimax has been practising low-environmental-impact work-methods on every project and tasks since the group was establishment in 2006. It is not something new that we do to keep up with the global trends of going green, it was part of our culture in the business.
Eco-Friendly Values and Mission
Our company’s projects were planned and executed in ways that we use less materials and less/non polluting materials whenever possible without compromising on work quality or speed.

Solvent-Free Paints
Our business exclusively uses solvent-free paints for all painting and renovation projects. Even for metal and wood coatings are water based, so that we could avoid disposing paint-brush-cleaners into waterways or the ground. These paints biodegrade easier than the conventional oil-based paints that takes a very long time to break down. It also reduces air pollution, fewer harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and improved indoor air quality for our clients. We always prefer to use an eco-labelled paint whenever it is available.

Timber Reuse and Repurposing
The wood-based materials or timber are planned to be used with minimal waste, and if there are any offcuts of good size, they would be stored to be repurposed in future projects. Tasks that require timber temporary supports are usually made of recycled wood whenever possible, rather than buying freshly cut timber from merchants. For example, if there are any kitchen worktop offcuts, we usually repurpose them into a wall-mounted shelf for clients if it fits the design-theme.

Minimizing Material Wastage
Our Reduce policy starts from planning to purchasing. All materials purchased for projects are usually planned carefully and used optimally. If any parts or materials are unused, the packaging would be preserved and returned to the supplier(s) without any wastage -promoting circular economy principles.

Sustainable Equipment and Practices
At Trimax, our battery-operated power-tools have brushless-motor feature that runs more efficiently with lower power consumption. Brushed-motors are usually high-powered, but they are energy guzzlers.
Our staff are trained to sort waste by their types (cardboard, paper, metals, wood, glass, plastic, sand/rubble, oils, etc.) to be sent to council recycling centres -instead of dumping waste into bushes or rivers illegally.
We do not waste water by keeping water taps running unneccessarily, unlike some construction sites as we understand that water is a valuable resource.
When attending house-calls on our property maintenance rounds, if a part is broken, we will attempt to repair it whenever possible, instead of just replacing with a new unit. If it’s a replacement with new, the broken part would be properly disposed at the recycle centre. This practice would save both our client’s money and carbon-footprint of a new part.

We are dedicated to our environmental friendly practises and our passion for creating sustainable solutions for your clients. We would like to invite you to join us in making a positive impact on the environment while maintaining your property.
